What the cleaning does

On request we clean your record in our Klaudio ultrasonic machine before it ships and check it by eye. In my experience this pays off with new records too: pressing can leave residues, and a clean groove is kinder to your cartridge.

This means opening the shrink wrap – your record arrives cleaned in your parcel. From €5 per record, depending on the album.

I am aware and agree, that the Record will be put out of the original shrink wrap (this will be included to the delivery).

The final bars of Also sprach Zarathustra may reveal more about the work than its famous fanfare. Richard Strauss leaves two tonal centres facing one another without resolution, ending a vast journey with a quiet philosophical question. Fritz Reiner and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra make the route to that point feel coherent even as the score changes scale repeatedly—from elemental brass and organ at the opening to passages in which a single instrumental line can redirect the whole argument.

In “Of Science,” a fugue rises methodically from the orchestra’s lower voices, translating intellectual order into musical motion. The later “Dance Song” turns toward the waltz, with the solo violin acting as an agile guide while the surrounding ensemble grows increasingly animated. Reiner’s control is valuable precisely because Strauss’s design contains so many characters: solemn proclamation, chamber-like dialogue, learned counterpoint and urbane dance all belong to the same tone poem. The familiar sunrise is therefore a point of departure, not the work’s complete identity.

This Analogue Productions edition presents the performance on one 180-gram LP at 33⅓ RPM. It offers collectors a compact vinyl presentation of a cornerstone Reiner–Chicago collaboration and a score whose immense dynamic architecture is matched by exceptionally detailed orchestration. The album belongs equally in a Strauss collection and in a survey of the Chicago Symphony’s historic recorded legacy, inviting repeated and attentive listening. Michael 45 holds the record in Germany and ships from Hilden, so European buyers can obtain it without arranging an individual US import or waiting through customs.
