Buy 7″ outer sleeves – keep jacket and record together
With singles, the record and picture sleeve often sit tightly together. Frequent listening means repeatedly drawing the disc through the opening of a small jacket. The dual-pocket construction creates a different arrangement: your jacket occupies one pocket, while the record in its inner sleeve goes into the open pocket behind it. Both remain together as one item.
Two pockets for straightforward access
For playback, take the protected record out of the open pocket. The jacket can stay in its own compartment. The resealable closure belongs to the jacket pocket; a separate inner sleeve still protects the record itself. Do not place bare vinyl in the record pocket. Some items are shown separately in the product photographs to explain the construction, rather than to suggest that an inner sleeve is unnecessary.
Clear film in the appropriate format
This 7″ version uses 4 mil cast polypropylene, or CPP, approximately 100 microns thick. The transparent film leaves the cover artwork visible. Fit depends on the packaged jacket, not just the diameter of the record. Check unusually wide, thick or multi-panel jackets particularly carefully. The sleeve should fit and close without force; a format label alone is not a guarantee for every edition.
Add 25 outer sleeves where you need them
The pack contains 25 dual-pocket outer sleeves in the 7″ format. Allow one outer sleeve for each suitable jacket; the number of inner sleeves depends on the records inside. Jackets, records and inner sleeves are not included. If you are repackaging only part of your collection, start with frequently played or delicate editions. This brings the same practical storage arrangement to formats beyond standard LPs.
